Re: Responding to Your Request for Breast Cancer
Survivors Stories and Paying It Forward
I write to you this "pink" October with a very passionate idea. My sister and two younger sister-in-laws are recent breast cancer survivors. All three fought very hard and beat breast cancer. I have described their stories on my new website (www.thepinkangel.weebly.com).
Because breast cancer has touched my family, friends and me so closely over the years, I have a passion for all who are battling breast cancer and want them to know that I CARE too!!! In making and giving my very special handmade "pink ribbon" quilts for my family and friends, I decided I want to do that for others, who I don't even know. I think a special handmade pink ribbon quilt would warm their souls and brighten their spirits while in the fight for their life.
I am looking for a sponsor for the supplies for these non-profit quilts. I make these quilts by hand with about 12 hours of labor in each. The material costs are $25 per quilt (plus $15 for shipping). I would love to make 2-3 quilts per week and am simply looking for a sponsor for the materials only. I am putting together my new website (www.ThePinkAngel.weebly.com), where breast cancer patients can submit their story, and I will donate as many quilts as possible to those who write me.
That is what I plan to do for The Cure, so if you can please send me any leads, it would be most appreciated by all!!!
